A rheumatologist with 26 years of global pharmaceutical development experience working in CIBA GEIGY and F. Hoffmann La Roche, at VP, head of the inflamation,Anemia and Bone therapeutic areas. Work in small molecules (such as Bonviva) and Biologics (such as Mircera, Rituximab and Actemra). Work has included phases I - IV, as well as licensing and regulatory interactions in the US, EU, Switzerland, Japan and other countries. Substantial work with Research and Translational Medicine from the strategic to the operational levels. Previously Corporate VP, Head of inflammation and Immunology Clinical Research at Celgene August 2007, retiring April 2015. Currently Chief Medical Officer at Centrexion Therapeutics Corp developing non- opioid, non-addictive drugs for chronic pain.
