About Randall Wolfe

As an educator with over 10 years of experience teaching high school computer science, media arts, and English, I am transitioning into a new career in front-end development. With a deep understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, along with a strong foundation in UX design principles, I am excited to apply my technical skills in real-world projects. I am currently expanding my skill set with TypeScript, React, and Django while building a portfolio of front-end projects to showcase my coding abilities. My experience as a teacher has equipped me with key transferable skills that are essential for software development, including strong written and verbal communication, curriculum design (akin to project planning), and the ability to provide constructive feedback, which fosters continuous improvement in collaborative environments. Having completed the Computer Science K-12 teaching authorization from SF State, developing AP Computer Science Curriculum, and working through the Scrimba Frontend Developer Career Path course, I am preparing to take on entry-level full stack development roles where I can grow and contribute to innovative projects. I’m passionate about creating intuitive, user-centered experiences and eager to bring my blend of teaching expertise and technical proficiency to the world of software development.
