Background

About Randy Arb

My name is Randy Arb and I have been working as a software developer for over 20 years. As a software developer I love that I have the ability to build new systems from the ground up. Even more rewarding is to observe others utilizing the systems that I have built. Working as an employee-owner of the Industry leading Vendor for TV Weather, I have enjoyed building new value added products for TV Weather Broadcasters. Being able to take raw weather data and turn it into something that can be used to tell the weather story to the general public is just one of the unique benefits that I've experienced in my career. I believe my friends and colleagues would describe me as a dependable results-oriented problem solver. Finding ways to solve problems is what I desire on a daily basis. In addition, with most of my work experience coming from the view-point of an employee-owner, I am very aware of creating systems that maximize revenue and minimize costs in order to ensure that the company goals are being met. Specialties: Data Processing, Image Processing, Unix, Windows, C/C++, LDM, Weather Data, Agile Scrum.
