About Randy Burry

Born and raised in Wawa Ontario. Joined the military at the age of 17. Was an airframe technician. Promoted to Warrant Officer in 1992. Served 21 years total, last 13 years of career was training and safety. My final year in the military I was Assistant Wing General Safety Officer in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. In this position I was responsible for safety inspections of all sections on base and for all Units in the Province of Saskatchewan. Upon retiring from the Military I moved to Aylmer, Ontario where I obtained my Commercial Driver’s licence. My 1st job as a driver was for an owner operator pulling liquid tanker for Chemfleet Trucking. After approx. 15months of pulling tanker I went to work for L.E. Walker Transport in Aylmer. I started training their drivers to use the Qualcomm satellite system which was new to them and which I had been using for almost a year. In I started to do in cab training with new drivers out of school. Along with this training I also participated in the orientation training of new hires. In 2004 I moved inside as a full time trainer and recruiter. In this position I was the 3rd person to be called in the event of an incident or accident. In 2007, I moved to KTRS as a full time corporate and in truck instructor. In 2009 I also took over the responsibility of ensuring trucks were maintained to ministry standards. I July 2011, I took over the position of Health and Safety Manager here at Transport Sales and Service in Caledonia. Specialties: Training Development and Delivery Public Speaking
