Living in rural AL I saw the internet as the future and it was slow. I went to college and majored in IIS with an emphasis on network design. My goal was to bring the newly forming high speed internet to the world. Obtaining a job with AT & T to work on a project to build a high speed network was just what I was looking for. I moved to Jacksonville, FL and started working with a small team and a technology developer ( CLC ). The team proofed and delivered the first generation DOCSIS Cable modem to the public. With my extensive knowledge of QAM (the backbone of the DOCSIS system), I was invited to join another team to begin proofing and implementing the first generation of Video on Demand, and then hybrid VOIP. Through my extensive background in network and video I moved to Wisconsin to begin working with Toepfer Security. My primary goal was to help launch the fist generation of IP Cameras. I continued to work in IP video and began working with Access Control systems. With a strong background in networking, video, and access control I began to take on PM roles. A long history with Toepfer brought me to a point where I needed to expand and learn new products. I took a Lead Systems Integrator position with Newport Networks where I continued to grow in my PM roles and began helping with the day to day management of security field techs.An opportunity to take my skills further emerged with Toepfer and I returned as the Service and Installation Manager. This brings a career full circle. Understanding the products, the business, the technicians, and all the effort behind the scenes. Could not ask for more.
