About Randy Goldsmith

Goldsmith, Investor in Residence for The Texas Technology Development Center (T3DC) in San Antonio, Texas, is actively involved designing, developing and promoting projects, programs and organizations committed to innovation led economic development. He speaks regularly in national and international venues on the subject of economic competitives through building regional innovation capacity. Goldsmith established a model for technology commercialization with the NASA Mid-continent Regional Technology Transfer Center (1992-1996); led the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance for Excellence, a national MEP program (1996-1998); established and managed the Oklahoma Technology Development Corp (1998-2002); created new programs for the San Antonio Technology Accelerator Initiative (2002-2005); served briefly as Assistant VP for Economic Development at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio before becoming President and CEO of the Mississippi Technology Alliance (2006 to 2009). Specialties: Goldsmith is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in new venture development with an emphasis on assisting high performance, innovation intensive enterprises seeking private equity investment. He has participated and consulted in the development of multiple organizations adopting his strategies, programs, and tools to serve this entrepreneurial market. He has made hundreds of presentations nationally and spoken in Singapore, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
