A national and provincial award winning expert in media solutions, Randy Reid is the GM of FLOW 98.7FM - Canada's only Black Music Commercial Radio Station,(past) President of the National Community Radio Association (NCRA) and CEO/GM of VX3 Exchange a producer of quality, influencer-led content experiences. His work includes collaborating with active members of the BIPOC community to produce genuine and culturally relevant multi-media content for mass consumption. With over 20 years experience in public, private and community media across print, television and radio his extensive background has contributed to the enhancement of operational community-led media models across Canada. Randy is readily recognized as one of the countries most engaging and polished radio personalities as identified through his 3 x national Stylus Spinfest Award nominations in 2010, 2011, 2012 and further underlined as the reigning Stylus Award recipient for 'Canada's Best College Radio Show'. Reid has also successfully demonstrated his prowess and passion for traditional journalism launching a national (and provincial) award winning youth media news initiative in conjunction with TorStar Media Group and Boys & Girls Clubs across Canada. Currently he has been forefront in leading an important organizational shift with VX3 Exchange. He was instrumental in launching a popularly branded black music and ethnic radio station - VIBE105 (105.5FM) and is directing the evolution of a vibrant Social Purpose Enterprise. One80 Youth Media Group was one of Canada’s most comprehensive youth civic journalism initiatives, and was the nation's largest distributed youth newspaper – delivering over 55 copies across the GTA (and Canada) monthly As founder and chief editor of One80, Randy delivered countless keynote speeches, journalism workshops, coordinated diverse news stories and managed one of the largest youth freelance journalist initiatives in Canada with over 550 trained civic journalists in rotation annually.
