Randy Williams, a 2003 BFA graduate from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in industrial design, web development, education, and graphic design. His achievements include the 2003 SIUC Senior IDSA Merit Award, the R.E.A.C.H Award, and recognition as a Rickert-Ziebold Finalist. Randy has contributed his expertise to companies like Insight Product Development, Fossil/DKNY Watches, Pacific Northern, and Keys Fitness. He is the co-founder of OurVision: Creative Design Services. Leadership Experience: Randy serves as a board member for the Osmosis Project and the Organization of Black Designers, with over 15 years of service. He has spent five years with the Fire Safety Foundation, developing graphic design and marketing strategies for diverse demographics. He has facilitated Industrial Design workshops at the University of Illinois at Chicago, focusing on empowering inner-city youth. His leadership roles include Student Chapter President for IDSA, Secretary for the Chicago Chapter of IDSA, and President of the SIUC Race Car Team. He also held a military position as Operations Sergeant during his junior year at Culver Academies in IN. Professional Achievements • Product Development: Led industrial design efforts in six consumer product categories, including baby accessories, sports fitness, rehabilitation, culinary tools, consumer electronics, footwear, and fire safety. Collaborative Expertise: Contributed to product development for brands like JCPenney, Mikimoto, DKNY, Fossil Watches, Zales, and Ironman Fitness. • Graphic Design Leadership: Served as the lead graphic designer for organizations such as Truth to the Youth, Mt. Olive Church of God, S.R.T, Inc, and EJUUAC, Inc. • Global Impact through OurVision: OurVision has served over 250 diverse clients globally, establishing a hub for design, branding, strategy, and marketing. • Educational Impact: Taught across educational levels, from Pre-K to collegiate, including special needs education and basketball coaching. Personal Commitment Randy is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and a devoted Christian, inspired by Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. and mentors in business, faith, and nonprofit work.
