About Randy Wooten

After spending 22 wonderful years in the Kansas City metro area, my wife and I decided to relocate near our children’s families and 7 grandchildren. During this transition, I was allowed to work on upgrading our home in Franklin, Tennessee before moving in. Additionally, my former employer allowed me to work as a consultant remotely assisting them through the transition to a new CFO. Even after this transition, I still consult occasionally on selected projects, for which I am thankful. Along the way to becoming a CFO, I discovered that one of the most satisfying experiences was helping those that supported me to engage and grow their talents. It is truly rewarding when a former teammate comes back and shares the positive impact on their life and professional career and the great memories they have of the time working together. Now that the CFO goal of my career has been achieved, I am now seeking an opportunity to contribute and grow as a team player within an Accounting And /or Finance role. After years of experience, I find the type of work that motivates me is; • Software implementation – one of the best growth opportunities in my career came with the implementation of SAP software, twice. This opened my eyes to the potential of databases, integration, and the processes of bringing software live. • Process improvement – developing tools to automate and/or improve upon current processes – I developed several ACCESS databases to this end. • Learning new things – from high-speed consumer products manufacturing with the Procter & Gamble Company to learning the detailed logistics of diesel fuel delivery to locomotives, I have always enjoyed learning and discovering how things work.
