About Ranetta Potts

I am a recent graduate of the University of Kansas, where I earned my degree from the School of Education and Health Sciences. As an alum, I completed my studies on a Pre-Physical Therapy track with a minor in Human Sexuality and a certificate in Gender, Law, and Policy, focusing on self-expression and sex education. I am now seeking internship or shadowing opportunities to gain hands-on experience in physical therapy, health education, or related fields.During my time at KU, I was highly involved in leadership and service. I served as President of the Omega Theta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated (2022–2024), Parliamentarian of KU’s Black Student Union (2022—2024, and as an active member of the Pre-Physical Therapy Club. Additionally, I worked as a Peer Health Educator with the HERO Office at Watkins Health Services, promoting wellness and education among students.My professional background includes years of customer service, marketing, and leadership experience. I worked in student housing for over a year, assisting with leasing, property marketing, and resident relations. Prior to that, I gained sales experience at a kickboxing gym, where I engaged with clients and promoted memberships. My commitment to service began early, from volunteering with my church and community organizations to participating in JROTC in high school, where I developed my leadership skills. Today, I continue to prioritize community engagement, as my sorority chapter volunteers monthly to support local initiatives.I excel in time management, oral communication, and social media engagement skills that make me a strong candidate for any team. I am eager to apply my multifaceted experience and passion for health, wellness, and leadership in a dynamic professional setting.
