About Rani Rao

I am a commercially focused HR leader with a proven track record in defining and implementing forward thinking HR strategy and solutions within industries spanning Leisure/Hospitality, IT, Market Research/Consulting Services and Fashion/Retail. I have lived in India and the US and France is now my home base. In the Paris area, I have worked with a variety of organizations operating across Europe, North America, Greater China and India, participating in projects in each of the locations, working within various cultures and organizational contexts. As a generalist I have broad experience in managing the full end-to-end employee cycle (Talent Acquisition & Management, Performance Management, Comp & Ben, Global Mobility Management, L&D) with specific expertise in the following areas - Building competency models to identify, define and structure successful organizational behaviours - Driving business transformation (developing workforce planning strategies in response to changing business needs, managing organizational design and development and driving performance to address new business drivers or deliverables)- Business partnering with senior leaders/HR teams to build and implement HR roadmaps across geographies, driving activities to support profitability at a country/regional level (talent reviews, performance planning, reward programs, leadership development, succession planning, etc.)- Talent Acquisition including employer branding and digital recruiting (social, media, mobile) I have the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff and build strong relationsips in complex, matrix structures with multiple stakeholders. I am perfectly bilingual English/French, hold a Master's degree in HR Management and Development from the IGS Business School (Paris) and have strong exposure to EMEA labor laws with a special focus on French Employment and Social laws.
