About Rani Robinson

I am 38 years old and am originally from Australia. I am able to live and work within the UK as I have dual Australian - British Citizenship. I completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sociology and History in May 2013 directly through Griffith University and by distance through Open Universities. I worked throughout my time at University and have excellent time management skills. I am extremely reliable, approachable and friendly, have 24 years experience in customer service, can work as part of a team, as an individual and unsupervised or otherwise. For 7 years I worked for Woolworths Ltd in Australia. I began as a checkout operator and became a service supervisor. My time with the company was invaluable as I was able to obtain skills in staff management, health and safety policy, customer service and finance. Coming back to retail with Sainsburys had been eye opening - especially during a pandemic. It is physically demanding, you have to have good attention to detail, be on point with store presentation and hyper aware of customer and staff safety. During my almost 10 years with Hilton Worldwide I began as a receptionist and progressed into, Shift Leader, Supervisor, Duty Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager and Interim Front Office Manager. I am now in the back of house learning about revenue and sales as a Reservations Agent. I was lucky enough to work with wonderful managers who trained me and taught me about the business and financial aspects. Working remote has been the perfect move for me. Learning about Sales and Revenue and working behind the scenes has been so educational and a completely different side of hospitality that I didn’t know a lot about.
