About Ranim Mohamad

Graduate of Early Childhood Education from Sheridan College with High Honors and silver medalist and in Good Standing with College of Early Childhood Educators. My 8+ years of experiences in private and public sectors guided me towards this career path due to my passion for education and children. I believe the DECE’s role is to facilitate a space where all students can thrive, one that is inclusive, encouraging, safe and empathetic. I focus on building strong and powerful relationships with my students both inside the classroom and within the school community. I believe in co-creating a classroom environment that reflects student identity and supports anti-racism practices. My experiences working with students in the early years have led me to believe that the most important job as an educator is to continue learning, listening, and reflecting on my teaching practice to ensure that I recognize my personal biases and how they impact my practice. Therefore, the commitment that I have made to myself, my students, my colleagues, and to my community is to continue to reflect, disrupt and dismantle the racism and inequalities that exist in our schools and communities. I am dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional educator ensuring that every child's learning styles and abilities are addressed. I am committed to professional Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
