About Ranjan Mitter

I graduated from one of the world's topmost business schools, Interestingly, I was the lone Indian. My career has been incredibly fulfilling, encompassing a wide range of domains, and geographical locations. I began my professional journey as a Strategic Planner in a Leading European Multinational, which had just achieved the prestigious status of being the world's 'Numero Uno' in an important industry. This experience provided me with profound insights into global dynamics. In the realm of school education, I have had the privilege of leading The Future Foundation School (TFFS) for close to a quarter century. I also currently hold the responsibility of nurturing a network of several hundred private schools across Eastern India. Further, I have been closely associated with the working of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, popularly known as the ICSE Board, for over two decades. I also played a pivotal role in designing and implementing Educational Leadership Programmes for School Heads. I have been awarded the prestigious 'Chevalier de l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques' by the Government of France in January 2021 for exceptional contributions to the promotion of French language and culture in school education. For over two decades, I have had the privilege of serving as an educator at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C). My teaching interests have been deeply rooted in the intersection of ethics and leadership. My passion for higher education and corporate training has led me to deliver lectures at various Indian Institutes of Management, design and offer specialised courses, and extend corporate training programmes extensively in India and Europe. In 2014 received Dewang Mehta Award for Best Indian Professor for Corporate Social Responsibility. I take great pride in having established a highly regarded elder care facility near Kolkata. This Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture initiative named Aumorto (founded in 2018) was conceptualised by me and the mission has been to consistently offer excellence in services like no other facility in this hospitality category (Senior Living) in India: this includes cultural experiences and intellectual and spiritual enrichment, opportunities for the residents to partake in social activities and for them to live a life with a deep sense of fulfilment in the midst of a serene environment.
