Key Career Highlights: Introduced funding for vector control for VFI while working with peripheral development funds (PDF) for the states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Karnataka in India Extensive experience in building partnerships encompassing large-scale public health campaigns spanning multiple locations with innovative funding mechanisms such as the Gold Standard Foundation validated Carbon Credit program; known as ‘The Carbon for Water’ program and the unique ‘Joint Health Initiative’ in Western rural Kenya for curtaining water-borne diseases while supplementing the national HIV program and ‘CarePacks’ for projects in India Collaborated with the leadership team of National Vector Borne Disease Control chapters in states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Assam for managing advocacy programs/IEC campaigns for the importance of PH interventions such as LLINs (Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets) as a preventive tool against malaria (and other vector-borne diseases); the importance of integrated vector management (IVM) and the risks associated with IR and its pitfalls on vector control projects in India Managed procurement audits, in-depth reviews of procurement and financial management procedures for the project ‘Detailed Implementation Review’ funded by World Bank for World Bank Washington’s Department for Institutional Integrity (INT), apart from projects related to governance and accountability reviews for World Bank India Have developed institutional business strategies, new partnerships and donor relationships encompassing vector control, NTDs, home-based and community water purification solution in developing countries across Asia (particularly in the Mekong Delta and South Asian regions) with Country Departments of Health, Water and Sanitation, Rural Development in the region and international multilateral and bilateral funding agencies incl. the Global Fund, UNICEF, International Federation of Red Cross societies, ADB, The World Bank, and reputed international implementing agencies such as ECHO, World Vision, SCF, Care International, Concern Worldwide, Plan International, Oxfam, Compassion International etc. Have coordinated large information dissemination and registration campaigns targeted at the rural populations in countries such as Kenya and Tanzania; included registration of PLWHs and information dissemination for suggested interventions for ‘healthy living with HIV/AIDS’ in Eastern African countries
