About Ranran Lu
I am currently pursing my PhD Degree in the Petroleum Engineering Department at the University of Tulsa, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2019. I had three internship experiences: closed-loop reservoir management with ConocoPhillips ESOI from May 13 to Aug. 16, 2019; well management of water flooding process with ExxonMobil URC from May 21st to Aug. 17, 2018; and clustering of multiple realizations with Total S.A. CSTJF from May 1st to Sep 1st, 2017. In my PhD program, I mainly worked on the joint optimization of well types, drilling orders, trajectories and control settings considering the geological uncertainties under the supervision of Dr. Albert Reynolds. In my master’s program, I mainly worked on history matching for non-Gaussian fields. I have a strong background in reservoir simulation and management. My research experience has also prepared me well with deep understanding of mathematics and excellent programming skills.
