About Raphael Silva

To say I'm passionate about writing code is an understatement. Ever since I was 13 years old, when I wrote my first hello world in Python, I fell in love with it. Every software, every new feature that I create and see it up and running makes my day great! I've been fascinated by the idea of solving practical problems using software, it sounds like every day I have a new puzzle to solve. Those puzzles are my motivation to keep growing and improving every day more. In my first professional experience, I was blessed to be part of a team in a software house to work as a backend developer intern working on an ERP system using core Java, Eclipselink and JPA. Lately, I was hired by this company and I had an opportunity to work on a Human Resource system project. Today, I am a software engineer at Maker Tech working in a SaaS which we do integrations between systems such as e-commerces/Marketplaces and ERP systems. I've been working every day on solutions to improve the integrations' performance and new ways to achieve their customers' goals. When I finish my daily work at my company I keep studying, I'm actually learning python and data science to incorporate this into my new project. I am also improving my English skills to be approved in the IELTS exam as well as improving my algorithm skills. Skills: Java, React, Angular, Spring Framework, JSP, JSF, Servlets, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TDD, Mockito, JUnit, Docker, AWS, Jenkins.
