About Rasa Piggott

As a progressive leader of paramedic education, my expertise in mapping education curriculum to Accreditation Standards, Professional Capabilities, National Safety and Quality Health Standards, international evidence base and metacognitive education theorem facilitates paramedicine biopsychosocial capability uplift applicable to primary, acute and emergency models of care. Via quality assurance projects, I innovate systems and processes across tertiary sector and health sector settings to better patient safety and health outcomes. My practice currency is grounded in 12 years of diverse clinical experience that have enabled an in-depth understanding of the relationship between paramedic lived-experience, and health-system functionality. My career ambition is to improve health care equity and outcomes by elevating systems, process and education as they relate to crew resource management, paramedic biopsychosocial healthcare competency and paramedic risk competency. I am deeply committed to advocating for workplace equity and human rights compliance, with a particular emphasis on improving conditions for marginalized cohorts.
