Software Engineer | Java & Spring Boot Specialist | Full-Stack Developer Passionate Software Engineer with 1+ years of hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern web technologies. Based in Sri Lanka, I specialize in developing robust backend systems while maintaining a strong foundation in full-stack development. What I Bring to the Table: Currently at GTN Tech, I've successfully optimized critical systems that directly impact business performance—from improving data ingestion speeds by 80% through PostgreSQL COPY commands to enhancing report generation execution time by 60% using Java Parallel Stream API. My expertise spans the complete development lifecycle, including legacy system maintenance, microservices architecture, and cloud deployment with AWS and Docker. Technical Excellence: My toolkit includes Java, Spring Framework, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS services. I'm particularly skilled in performance optimization, having reduced Docker image sizes by 30% and implemented efficient database integration solutions using DBLink. Whether it's developing REST APIs, implementing JWT authentication, or conducting comprehensive testing with JUnit and Mockito, I focus on delivering reliable, maintainable code. Beyond the Code: I believe in continuous learning and knowledge sharing. As a former casual instructor at the University of Peradeniya and technical content writer on Medium, I enjoy mentoring others and contributing to the developer community. My projects range from IoT-based road accident detection systems to smart greenhouse digital twins, demonstrating my versatility across different domains. Currently seeking opportunities to leverage my Spring Boot expertise, AWS knowledge, and passion for building innovative solutions in a dynamic software engineering role. Let's connect if you're looking for a dedicated engineer who combines technical proficiency with a collaborative mindset.
