About Rashad Hasan

I have more than 8 years of experience in the Cyber Security domain. My primary role has been to assess and provide recommendations to my clients to improve their cyber security posture. I have worked on use case ideation and development for emerging technologies including Risk Sensing and Blockchain within Cyber Risk Services for various domains. I have lead and executed third party assessments and application control assessments for various Fortune 500 Banks. I started in the field of information security as a penetration tester conducting security assessments for my clients. I did vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and secure configuration reviews for clients in the Automobile, Government, Aviation, BPO and Education sector. My core job then was to identify critical loopholes in my clients’ IT Infrastructure and help them sort out a strategy to patch them and make security investment decisions. Other key projects that I have worked on are the Application Security advisory, IT Audits, URL filtering, Firewalls, DDoS Mitigation Solutions, etc. I am an data security activist and evangelising the implementation of the various emerging data privacy regulations and procedures such as the EU General Data Protection Regulations, 2016 on a global scale.
