About Rasheed Pongnon

I'm a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Environmental Data Science with minors in Geosciences, Blue Planet ( hydrology and water resource management), Biodiversity Conservation, and GIS. I've commited my academic career to studuing the Earth and its attributes that make our lives possible. have experience with programming with R, python, and some SQL. I'm familiar with and very comfortable using Esri products such as ArcPro and ArcGIS online. On top of my skills with various technologies used in natural resource management, I also have experience as a field technician in harsh enviornments as well ethically capturing and hadling wildlife. I'm greatful for the opportunities I have had to obtain my skillset and I'm eager to not only build upon it, but to apply the knowledge and techniques I have accquired in hopes of working towards a sustainable relationship between the Earth's resources and and the life reliant on them.
