About Ratna Pillai

I’ve worked in strategy, ops, product and chief of staff roles at six global companies (Google, Salesforce, Microsoft, Gap Inc, Tripadvisor, and Booz Allen). I've spent 12+ years behind the curtain, figuring out how orgs actually run and how to drive meaningful change inside them. And while the companies have been big, the teams I've run are usually scrappy and lean. I'm comfortable doing the dirty work, leading the charge, and everything in between. Currently, I do strategy and sales planning for Google Fi (Google's own phone service). Outside of that, I help people land operations roles and succeed in them. Those are two different skills (both learnable, but most people don’t get the right guidance on either). I’ve coached jobseekers at every stage — people pivoting careers, aiming for leadership, or just trying to land their first big role. I’ve sat in 10+ rounds of interviews, grown quickly into leadership roles, and have led teams myself. I’ve seen how predatory and gatekeep-y the career coaching space can be. So I’m building resources that are high-quality, actionable, and affordable. Put differently, getting good job search advice shouldn’t come with a price tag?
