About Raul Chacon

Think and act, local and globally! Currently leading the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean LAC, promoted by the Global Partnership for Education and the International Development Research Centre - Canadá Raúl Chacón-Zuloaga is senior fellow of SUMMA. With 25 years of experience in the educational field, in the last six years he has focused his work on the improvement of the educational systems in LAC, through the design, implementation, research and evaluations of different policies and initiatives. Previously, he has been leading and collaborating in different processes related to the development of the Chilean National Education Quality Assurance System. He has also participated in relevant regional and international initiatives, such as the Regional Comparative and Explanatory Study of the Latin American Laboratory for Assessment the Quality of Education (LLECE – UNESCO) and the School Resources Review (OECD), as part of the Group of National Experts, among others. From 2015 to 2018, he was a lecturer at the Master of Educational Policies, at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado de Chile. Sociologist from the P. Universidad Católica de Chile, he holds a Master of Arts in Educational Studies from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
