Raul is a seasoned Infrastructure Investment professional with nearly two decades of international experience as engineer, financial analyst and investment director. He has a complete understanding of the infrastructure industry and a wide contact network in the market. His career began at Cintra Infraestructuras within Ferrovial Group, followed by a pivotal role at EY Spain where he was part of the core individuals who initiated EY's Project Finance and Infrastructure Advisory practice in that country. Currently serving as Investment Director for the United States at Sacyr Concesiones, Raul excels in detecting, screening, and delivering investment opportunities, covering transportation, energy, social infrastructure, and water sectors. In his role, he adeptly coordinates legal, technical, commercial, and financing workstreams, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the infrastructure industry. Raul has led diverse consortia, successfully bidding on multibillion-dollar projects and achieving financial close recently in several transactions across Colombia and the US. Designated as the Authorized Representative for numerous teams, he navigates interactions with Authorities, partners, banks, and advisors. With a remarkable portfolio, Raul has played a key role in over 30 infrastructure projects, ranging from €400 million to €2 billion, spanning countries such as the US, Canada, Brazil, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Poland, India, Greece, Colombia, and Mexico. His expertise and extensive network position him as a leader in the market, achieving remarkable success.
