Computer Scientist with an interest in Geoinformatics, data analysis and machine learning. Almost 7 years of experience in developing web-based applications, software development and data analytics using Python 3.x/2.7, Django 1.9/1.8 and Data Analytics using Python/SQL/Tableau/RCurrent Projects:• Investigate novel methods of simulating the spread of a contagious disease within a city.• Develop a crowdsensing system using a bloackchain based backend.• Optimize Halbach array placements for an LF-MRI system.Some of my recent personal projects:• Built a simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) based environment constructor. • Built a high-performance text compression library using Context Tree Weighting.• Built a framework for Spatiotemporal Change Detection and Analysis in Remote Sensing Imagery• Built a Discord Bot using a finetuned GPT-2 instance in TensorFlow.• Pre-processing and then performing a comparative sentiment analysis on tweets relating to a topic, then geolocating those and performing map-based change analysis to look for patterns of behaviour.In this project I have been working with an international team of scientists including University of Houston, Hohai University, China and INEGI, Mexico.Recently finished a project to map and track areas of road construction in satellite imagery of ecologically sensitive areas, supported by a Microsoft AI for Earth grant. I have been comparing several segmentation models, such as DeepRes U-Net, and creating a Holoviz/Flask frontend with an Azure Machine Learning backend to deploy them.• Strong experience in Machine Learning, including creating new models from scratch and fine-tuning existing network models using Tensorflow, PyTorch and Keras.• Worked on MS Azure environment to deploy various ML algorithms and used Azure database to connect with MS SQL Server. • Used Google Cloud Platform and AWS to run complex ML models• Hands-on-experience with pandas, SciPy and Numpy packages in Python for data analytics• Highly experienced with geospatial data analysis and writing well-structured, maintainable, documented research code for transfer to a geospatial data processing chain.• Expertise in GIS tools and libraries including QGIS, GDAL, ArcGIS, rasterio and xarray• Experienced in working with scientific and geospatial data formats including GeoTiff, Cloud Optimized GeoTiff, Zarr, NetCDF, GRIB and HDF.
