Ravi Kant is an Associate Partner in MSC’s Inclusive Banking & Enterprise Development domain. He is a microfinance, SME and banking consultant with approximately 14 years of experience. He has been playing a key role in assisting State Rural Livelihood Missions, MFIs, and Banks streamline and strengthen their strategy, product offerings, digitalization, systems and processes in India, Bangladesh, Malawi, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Philippines. His specialization includes: enterprise financing, digital financial services, risk management, agent banking, market research, due diligence and institutional assessment, strategic business planning, training, cost allocation study, microenterprise lending, product development, delinquency management, internal audit and controls, accounting and financial management, pilot testing, process mapping and risk analysis, loan portfolio assessment and financial projections. Recently, he is involved in supporting state rural livelihood missions to enhance financial inclusion through community platforms. Some of the his recent work includes: Providing TA support to four SRLMs including UPSRLM, JEEViKA, UPSRLM and OLM to strengthen financial inclusion through innovative and unique solutions (BMGF, India, 2020 to 2023 and ongoing) Providing TA support to BRAC Bank on Agent Banking - developed strategy, SoP, Training deck, internal audit, monitoring, agent assessment policy and process, grading of agent outlets, liquidity management, business expansion etc.( BRAC Bank, Bangladesh, 2018 to 2021) Conducted training on product development for IFC partners in Tajikistan and Kirgizstan ( IFC, 2021) Formulation of DFS strategy, stakeholder analysis, product design, process mapping and pilot testing of agent banking channel and savings product for Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women funded by MetLife Foundation ( Bangladesh, 2018-21) Conduct of risk management training at Cashpor Micro Credit ( India, 2018) Formulation of strategy, process mapping, credit scoring tool, pilot testing and roll-out of Microenterprise loan at AFPL, Sub-K and Sonata funded by MSDF (India, 2017) Market segmentation study of AMK funded by Incofin: analysed data and prepared the market segmentation study report (India, 2017) Process Mapping for Microenterprise loan of i2ifunding funded by MSDF (India, 2016)
