As a Project Manager at AWL, I manage multiple material handling and intra logistic projects in various phases for our clients. I am responsible for the complete steering of projects, including drawing up the project strategy, acting as the point of contact and connecting factor for the client and internal organization, and keeping all stakeholders informed of the latest state of affairs. I also actively manage contract management and ensure that agreements with our clients are transparent and verifiable. Additionally, I manage technical and financial risks of the project and coordinate with the client. Before becoming a Project Manager, I worked as a Senior Simulation Engineer at AWL Techniek for over four years. In this role, I played an essential part in coordinating the engineering process of a project and providing guidance on the direction the project should take to be successful. The projects mainly consisted of automating factories by integrating systems with industrial robots. I was responsible for a properly functioning design that matched the customer's wishes, supervising various engineers to arrive at a good design. My focus was on developing and optimizing mechanical designs using simulation techniques, testing designs using simulation software, performing range studies, determining and testing process flows, conducting cycle time analyses, and making offline robot programs. I hold a Master of Science in Technology and Operations Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from the University of Groningen and Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, respectively.
