In 2009, Ray Baker started his professional career with Securitas Security Services USA as an Account Manager overseeing a commercial office property in Washington, DC. In 2010, Ray was promoted to Project Manager and was assigned to the Vornado Charles E. Smith DC portfolio. He was responsible for managing 4,350 operating HPW and managed a team of 175 security officers and 12 Security Managers within 23 Class A commercial office buildings in Washington DC. In 2011, he was promoted to the Director of Security position for the Vornado Charles E Smith DC portfolio where he took on more of a financial management role and was the primary POC for the Senior PM's and GM's. In 2014, Ray took on the responsibility as the Director of Security for Hines Property Management Co. where he served as the primary POC for the client and tenants for all security-related matters. Ray was also responsible for improving the client's overall security experience, escalating the performance, expanding community outreach, and increasing the probability for the account. In 2016, Ray joined Whelan Security and was hired as the Eastern & Central Region Operations Manager for their National Account with Uber Technologies. In this position, he was primarily responsible for ensuring proper implementation of tactical operations for his designated regions for Whelan, as designated by the client. March 2019, Ray joined Uber Technologies as their East Coast Security Lead for US & Canada. In the past year, he made a huge impact as an EXT (External Contractor) helping Uber build their NORAM security program.
