About Ray Feito

Over 38 years of transportation experience. I started on the piers at PMT and NIT with Portsmouth Terminals Inc and Virgina International Terminals from 1976 to 1989, then my most rewarding experience with Cavalier Shipping Company from 1990 to 1996 working imports and also NVOCC work for them.Then on to great times with Senator Lines, Mitsui and now at ZIM. Had a brief break over at John S Connor from 2002 to 2006 doing import entry and logistics work before moving over to exports and their NVOCC work. I have really been blessed with some of the jobs I have had and so many of the great people I have known over the years, including my time as president of the Hampton Roads Traffic Club in 1997 and the Tidewater Transportation Club in 1995. My accounting degree from ODU opened the doors for me at PMT where I did a lot of cost accounting and tariff work for them with the HRTOC which allowed to meet so many of the people that created and shaped this port. After high school had the fun of working at NNSY where I spent many years working on aircraft carriers before returning to ODU, most memorable was the America (CVA-66), but I did manage to hit them all except for the FDR and Enterprise.
