About Ray Johnson

The primary mission here at 77ALPHA is to equip and encourage ordinary citizens with wisdom and knowledge so they can protect and defend themselves and the ones they love. I have spent the last 25 years learning, training, and teaching others how to survive and win in battle. I credit the US Air Force for creating the man and ultimately the warrior within me.In the past 25 years I have gained extensive experience and training that began in the military as a nuclear, biological, chemical warfare instructor and subsequently in the private sector where I have worked in executive protection and also as a firearms instructor. I have continued my education in topics such as, but not limited to, personal protection, anti-terrorism, counter-terrorism, bomb threat assessment, executive protection advanced tactics and multiple FEMA courses. Additionally, while in the military I taught the above subjects to military and civilian-based personnel. I also served in the Middle East during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. The military has provided me with a high level of professionalism, dedication and a drive for discipline. Post military I continued my education and training and work as a Law Enforcement firearms instructor. At present, I am engaged in corporate security, firearms tactics and safety, personal protection, threat assessment and mitigation. This comprehensive experience has provided me with invaluable skills such as effective communication, a combat mindset and a heightened awareness of my surroundings. In addition, I have developed an ability to quickly recognize and assess dangerous situations. Lastly, I am proficient in multiple weapon systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the AR15/M16/SR25 most pistol platforms and various secondary defensive weapons, including Handguns and shotguns and Edged
