With regards to experience, I have worked most recently as the principal geologist for Geologic Synchronization Solutions, LLC, a subcontractor for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) as a neutral evaluator as well as an instructor/researcher at the University of South Florida, Tampa. As principal geologist for Geologic Synchronization Solutions, LLC, I provide consulting services for the Florida DBPR, a division of the Florida Department of Insurance. I prepare reports for insurance companies, plaintiff and defense counsel, and Florida Department of Financial Services, Mediation Section based on on-site consultations with attorneys and insurance adjusters to interpret reports regarding subsidence activity and remediation methods. This work entails start-to-finish project management, including the preparation, scheduling, assessment, supervision of subcontractors for geotechnical testing, collaborating with engineers to develop remediation plans, findings synthesis, report filing, billing, and accounting As an instructor/research assistant at the University of South Florida, I have participated in two deep-sea drilling research expeditions, authored and co-authored several published journal articles, presented presentations at international scientific conferences and plain-language audiences, managed a clean-lab facility, and operated and maintained ICP-OES/AES and ICP/DCP-MS equipment. While at Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc, I prepared site plans for use in data collection for property loss claims, collected and interpreted Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) data and prepared results, managed Standard Penetration Testing (SPT) including supervising drilling crews, collecting and interpreting samples, and preparing results for review, and prepared, reviewed, and signed/sealed Subsidence Investigation Reports.
