I started my career in Compiler Release Engineering, where I developed new CI workloads and optimized the performance and reliability of build processes utilizing various CI tools such as Jenkins. Currently I collaborate with the Developer Support Engineer team at CloudBees to work on issues being escalated to Engineering, to provide guidance on product usage, issue troubleshooting mentoring sessions, best practices for CI/CD workloads, resolving Jenkins plugin issues, and identifying the underlying reasons for production outages within CloudBees software, Kubernetes, or traditional Linux VM environments. DevOps Engineer with experience leading an Agile squad (at CloudBees, and previously at IBM) Experience designing, configuring (as code), and maintaining continuous builds using Jenkins, Jenkins Pipelines, ANT, Perl, Shell, Makefiles. Root cause analysis of CI/CD issues covering a broad array of technologies including Jenkins, Jenkins Pipelines, Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon, Docker, shell scripting, Jenkins build definitions. Product packaging design and installation using rpm, Debian (.deb), and AIX installp packages. Designing, driving, and automating end to end product delivery from source control, build, packaging, installation, install verification testing, and shipment readiness. Analyzing and isolating root causes for build failures, infrastructure issues, and product functional regressions by writing automation in perl and shell, as well as manual investigation. Using Perl, shell scripts to automate status reporting, metrics gathering, and product pipeline processes. Using Docker and expect for automated product testing. Writing Dockerfiles, publishing image builds to Dockerhub. Migrating teams, source control, and automated builds to Rational Team Concert. Setting up and maintaining apt-get, yum, and zypper repositories. Collaborating with a large team to drive process modernization projects. Linux and AIX system administration.
