About Ray Linden

I am currently managing a team of UNIX/Linux and Middleware engineers at Mitchell (an Enlyte company), supporting both on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructure. Previously, I worked as a Principal Information Systems Engineer, and was the recipient of 2 annual and 4 quarterly MVP awards. Recent mergers and acquisitions have resulted in my team shifting greater focus on supporting and provisioning infrastructure in the AWS cloud. The team is now evolving to more of a DevOps role, complementing our combined years of System Administration and automation experience. Notably, we are now taking on IaC provisioning pipelines that were traditionally managed by the CI/CD teams. In addition to my daily management tasks, I continue to guide my team in solving more complex problems. Having 30+ years in Systems Administration and Development, I’m often relied upon for technical advice by my team and other departments. I always look for opportunities to teach, and I am proud to say that my team is fully capable of taking on these complex tasks. More than anything, I look forward to providing elegant solutions to difficult problems and automating as much as possible.
