Ray McMahon has 39 years of experience in managing small design teams to produce new and innovative products for the printing industry. Grafech Engineering is focused on adding value to the printing process in the sheetfed pressroom. We manufacture roll sheeters that replace the cut pile sheet stack as the press input. Our machine saves printers up to 30% on the cost of paper for a printing job compared to the cut sheet pile and we add additional value with a cleaner and more accurate sheet, cut to size via an electronic touchscreen, thereby saving additional paper. Our innovative designs require no additional labor on the press and allow the press to run at higher net production speeds. With paper representing 50% or more of the cost of a printing job, we enhance the profitibility of the printing process while offering a "Green" solution by consuming less paper with less trim waste, thereby saving trees at the same time.
