The Cedar Crest Middle School Creativity Lab allows for hands-on student exploration of learning- on a student's own terms! 8th grade students are given the time, place, and space to pursue their own learning through meaningful learning projects, including coding, small engine repair, sewing and crocheting, digital photography, family genealogy, painting, movie scripting, musical composition, robotics.to name a few! Authentic learning opportunities is at the heart of the Creativity Lab's mission. After 26 years of teaching English, every day is different. While the main job responsibility is procurement of materials and problem solving student roadblocks, a secondary benefit- which I love- is learning from students about topics where they excel! I am now a teacher, a learner, a supply chain manager, and an encourager as I try to pull the best project outcomes from my students!
