As the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research at Flinders University, my strategic focus is on maximising research excellence and impact within and beyond my institution; and fostering innovation across a number of scientific fields. As a senior higher education leader, I am committed to driving impactful, transdisciplinary research initiatives and promote best research higher degree student experience.As a researcher, I have a specific personal dedication to cancer care and global supportive care strategies. My leadership journey is complemented by my experience as a Board Director for organisations with a mission for health and social impact.The drive to improve individual, community and societal outcomes has steered my career, with a notable impact on policies and systems through research endeavors and collaborative projects. My teams have secured substantial research and government funding support and have published numerous peer-reviewed articles, demonstrating a relentless commitment to advancing healthcare through rigorous scientific inquiry and compassionate leadership.
