About Raymond Datt

Ray Datt has held senior executive positions with GE Canada, Purolator Products, and Wells Manufacturing Canada Limited where he was President and CEO. After almost 20 year with Wells Canada, Ray moved to Ottawa to assume the full time position of President of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada a $20 billion dollar industry representing over 1,300 member companies including wholesale and retail aftermarket outlets in Canada. He is currently the President and CEO of R D & Associates Inc, an Automotive Aftermarket consulting firm and Vice President of Marx Group Advisors of San Rafael California. Ray has been active in association work within the automotive aftermarket and with other charitable associations including the Canadian Automotive Partnership Council (CAPC), The Canadian Automotive Institute (CAI) at Georgian College, The Canadian Automotive Repair and Service Council (CARS), The Canadian Automotive Human Resources Council (CAHR), The Canadian Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Canada. In 1997, he was honored by the industry and presented with AIA's Distinguished Service Award for his contribution to both the aftermarket and the community. Ray is also the recipient of numerous other awards including the Governor Generals Golden Jubilee Award for his work with industry associations and Northwood Universities Automotive Aftermarket Management Award for his involvement in education.
