About Raymond Mawanda

At the age of 8; I found a passion for sales and connecting with people; building a computer from scrap parts and using that to create a business selling curated music CDs and video games. When I was 16, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and moved to the United States of America. As an international student, I ultimately ended up homeless for 2 years. My tenacity and grit led to a second entrepreneurial effort, doing computer repair work to support myself. I earned 2 academic associate’s degrees, graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2017, and became the Student of the Year for my exemplary leadership skills and top performance. From my experiences and achievements, I ultimately earned something far more significant in value—a tenacious work ethic, grit, resilience, to do whatever it takes to accomplish a goal. In my first job, working as a digital marketing manager and e-commerce specialist, I worked diligently to become the top performer. I Increased the company’s outreach by 78% to gain more prospects in 6 months and exceeded the sales quota by 80% leading to in revenue in one week. My next goal is to succeed as a business professional in the Tech Industry. My training at SV Academy sharpen my sales skills and am confident that I can hit the ground running and drive growth as a BDR/SDR in SaaS.
