I like games. Specialties: Finding Bugs! Experienced software developer and engineer for over 18 years with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining various software systems relating to games and simulation projects that span multiple roles, game engines, and platforms. Worked in multiple roles as a programmer, code designer as well as technical lead on projects such as Dark Networks, a Naval Post-Graduate School web-game that won a silver medal in the 2018 International Serious Play Competition. Game development experience has included work on multiple game engines including Unreal 3, Gamebryo, VBS 2.0, but primarily - and most extensively - Unity 3D. Platforms worked on include PC Desktop, mobile devices, and virtual reality head mount displays (such as the Meta Quest Pro). In more recent work, I have worked with integrating 3D geospatial and terrain platforms with the Unity game engine for a number of different applications. In addition, traveled extensively to meet and work with development partners, including clients from the School for Command Preparation at Fort Leavenworth, engineers at the Naval Post-Graduate School at Monterey, as well as facilitating teaching group sessions at the Bucerius Summer School on Global Governance in Hamburg, Germany.
