I am a Sudanese Pharmacist born in Nairobi where I spent my years in early education, thereafter I left to pursue my Bachelors and Masters degree in Pharmacy and Pharmacology, respectively, at the university of Cardiff, UK. My Masters in Pharmacology explored inhibition of Calcium and Potassium Channels to reduce growth of breast cancer cells. I worked in community Pharmacy in the UK for one year, thereafter came back to Kenya to help in our family business, Goodman Agencies Ltd - a Pharmaceutical distribution company. I have 5 years of work experience in the Regulatory and Compliance department, where I managed a team of 6. I am fully conversant with the Ministry of Health Legislation in Kenya and can confidently and accurately compile a Common Technical dossier and follow the process until registration. I was in charge of ensuring Goodman Agencies Ltd. complied with all legislation from Registration, variations, GMP, Audit and Pharmacovigilance. My position was key not only in ensuring compliance but also from a business perspective, my efficient working ways ensured my department delivered registration certificates to the sales department in the shortest time, this meant reduced competitors in the market and faster revenue. I have successfully registered over 50 products for the company and created all Standard Operating Procedures for the Company. One of my passions is travel and self growth. I love to explore different cultures and I love to Challenge myself because growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. I am always up to do different things. I have been involved in theatre productions and played Jasmine in Ali Baba and the 40 thieves, Beauty and the beast and played Dandini (right hand to the prince) in Cinderalla. In 2019 I took a sabbatical where I went to pursue my hobby in aviation, I spent a year in San Diego California where I attained my Private Pilot License. My current role as Business Development Manager at Goodman Agencies includes sourcing for new suppliers, identifying niche and new market needs, negotiating best prices for import based on my market surveys and opening new accounts with clients to grow the business. I work closely with the sales team to follow up on targets and ensure deliverables are being met. Languages I speak - Arabic, English.
