As a DevOps Engineer and Lead Infrastructure Engineer at BoatyardX, I’ve spent the past four years immersed in the dynamic world of cloud infrastructure, automation, and team leadership. My journey in tech has been driven by a passion for creating efficient, secure, and reliable systems while fostering growth and collaboration within my team. I specialize in transitioning complex cloud infrastructures to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks, leveraging tools like Terraform and Terramate to streamline processes and ensure deployment consistency. My work includes implementing DevOps principles to optimize software delivery pipelines for clients using Kubernetes, Docker, FluxCD, and Jenkins, across platforms like AWS and Azure. Beyond DevOps, I managed IT operations for over 120 users, encompassing everything from Active Directory and GPO policies to patch management and scripting. I’m also deeply involved in maintaining Linux and Windows server environments, ensuring peak performance through automation, monitoring, and backups. Highlights of my role include- Driving the adoption of Linux best practices across the team- Leading full-cycle Linux projects integrated with DevOps methodologies- Training and mentoring team members, helping them achieve advanced certifications and technical expertise- Supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Endpoint Manager. What truly excites me is the intersection of technology and teamwork—finding innovative ways to solve problems while empowering others to grow. Whether it's fine-tuning system architecture, automating processes, or mentoring colleagues, I take pride in delivering solutions that make an impact.
