Electro-mechanical engineer with experience in naval, shipyard and industrial plant fields. Currently working as maintenance and project engineer for the market leading PPG Industries - Paints, coatings and special materials. 2nd ENGINEER STCW Unlimited 3rd ENGINEER experience on offshore Engineer in charge for the biggest paint and plasters manufacturing plant in Bucharest, Romania. Since 2017 I've been working in the maritime domain. From 2017 to 2020 I have been working as a junior onboard merchant vessels and since August 2020 I've been working as Third Engineer in the Offshore Sector - Wind Power - until summer of 2024. I posses 2nd engineer - managerial - license as well. My duties included - Maintenance and managing of ship equipment, maintenance of hotel-related equipment i.e Cabin fixtures, toilet systems, piping and wiring, etc; watchkeeping duties and the related. I was part of a 4 man team that manages the whole technical side of an SOV operating in the wind fields along north Europe. The vessel accommodates (along 20 crew) up to 80 passengers. Alongside the ship related duties, I was also responsible to maintain a good social atmosphere with the ships clients. I have extensive experience in managing and dealing with passengers, as I've been working in the HORECA industry since 2016 and up to today, during the off periods in between contracts. Currently, I am working as project and maintenance engineer for PPG Industries. My duties include but are not limited to - maintenance of machinery, implementation of preventive maintenance systems in SAP, acquisition of spare parts and materials for various types of machinery, acquisition of new filling lines, supervision of new and ongoing projects and overall good operations of the plant machinery. This includes paint preparation units such as mixers, agitators and dissolvers; pumps, filling machines, packing robots ( ABB make ), strapping and wrapping machines, auto-labelling machines, PET-bottles blowing presses, etc. The maintenance team of the plant consists of six people, with whom I work in close connection to ensure minimal down times, efficient MTTR and the best achievable overall uptime of all filling lines. During 2025, I shall partake in one of the biggest investments ever made by PPG Industries in Bucharest, consisting in a whole new plant section with state of the art technology in this domain.
