With over 14 years of experience in software development, I have developed my expertise in technology, innovation, and building software solutions that truly make an impact. Throughout my journey, I have been driven by a passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality results. Over the last four years, I have held key roles as Scrum Master, Team Leader, and now Senior Engineering Manager, where I have successfully led and guided distributed, cross-functional teams. As a Senior Engineering Manager at Tradeshift, I strategically managed two remote teams across Europe, driving capacity planning, forecasting, and aligning team efforts with organizational goals. Previously, I played a pivotal role in forming and mentoring a team that delivered a complex Java-based product on AWS. Throughout these roles, I have actively facilitated cross-functional planning processes, championed Agile principles, and mapped value streams to optimize workflows. My leadership has extended to running Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across distributed teams. My ability to combine technical oversight with strategic planning has ensured efficient delivery and alignment with business objectives. As an Agile leader, I have worked closely with Product Owners to align priorities with business goals, streamlined the release process, and implemented metrics to measure productivity and product quality. My experience extends to coaching Product Owners and team members, optimizing DevOps practices, and supporting the onboarding of new hires to ensure smooth integration into Agile frameworks. I am committed to driving change, fostering an agile mindset, and empowering teams to reach their full potential. My approach combines strong communication skills, strategic planning, and the use of Agile tools to guide teams in delivering value efficiently and effectively. As a member of the Faculty of Economic Informatics at ASE, Bucharest, I actively contribute to the academic community by speaking at various tech events and sharing industry insights. Recently, I prepared a presentation for third-year students titled "Insights into Software Development & Leadership: A Real-World Perspective," covering topics such as Agile methodologies, the role of a Scrum Master, and the intersection of IT and economics. My goal is to bridge the gap between academia and the software development industry, helping students transition smoothly into their careers.
