About Reba Carroll

I am currently an Assistant Director with the James W. Stuckert Career Center at the University of Kentucky where I serve as a designated Career Adviser to the College of Fine Arts, the College of Design, and a variety of departments within the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Agriculture. Specialties: Certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF). Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) Certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Certified Strong Interest Inventory. Certified True Colors Awareness Facilitator. Skilled career counseling in all areas related to career development including instruction of resume writing, cover letters writing, interviewing skills, networking, business etiquette, professional attire, self-directed job searching, graduate school preparation, and wage and salary negotiation. In addition to career development curricula, I have developed and instructed self-esteem workshops, diversity workshops and business etiquette dining workshops. My passion lies in empowering college students to meet the challenges of the world of work by helping them develop the necessary career development tools to advance in their chosen fields. This also means instructing students in the Soft Skills required to get that first professional job interview and to advance once hired. Finally, the favorite part of my job involves watching the process of self-esteem and confidence grow in students as they receive these practical tools and apply them successfully.
