About Rebanta Roy

I grew up in India and at the age of 21 found myself across the oceans as a Graduate student at NYU. Trying to soak in the cutting edge technologies, working out science fictions on a regular basis while pursuing a degree in Robotics, is nothing but exhilerating. For the past two years, my motivation has driven me to learn from and work on the latest innovations in the fields of Robotic controls, Machine learning architectures and Computer vision algorithms. Starting from participating in small scale Robowars and Hackathons, my career interests have grown to lie at the nexus of a variety of next-gen riddles. Solving these riddles like be it Robotic localization and mapping, or be it developing neural nets, or applying algorithms to estimate environments in Computer vision, all of them ends up bringing those minor 'Eureka' moments for me. Moreover, I consider myself really fortunate that I got some relevant opportunities to work both at USA and India. My journey in the field of these algorithms has helped me track the depths of problems and apply my ideas through Gazebo, Tensorflow, OpenCV and many such tools, essential for the underlying encryptions to be built or broken. Logical Reasoning has always been my strength thus programming, my passion. Evidently there has been high-spirits about the next generation's bombarding scopes of Deep Learning for quite some time now. As a motivated individual I am always open to exciting opportunities.
