I am a BSN, RN and recently completed post graduate courses to become certified as an Occupational Health Nurse (COHN).Nursing is my second career, having served twenty years in the United States Marine Corps. Icurrently have three years bedside nursing experience in long-term care, two of those years I was the Director of Nursing and Infection Preventionist. I am currently a case manager RN for home health and hospice. My current goal for my nursing career is to become a Certified Occupational Health Nurse(COHN). This role will allow me to provide case management, OSHA/NIOSH/CDC compliancein the workplace, promote exceptional, coordinated care to achieve optimal outcomes to workers and assist in safety and program management. Providing these services will help me accomplish the mission of promoting, strengthening and improving the health and well-being of all people I have the pleasure of serving. Focusing on workplace safety, infection control and healthy lifestyles can improve the livelihood of workers and prevent untimely death and disease
