About Rebeka Branda

I was born and raised in Slovenia, but moved to Netherlands in 2020 to start my Masters studies in Biology and to have an opportunity for better career and life. Currently I am working as a Lab Tech in QC Micro at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (previously Janssen). I preform various tasks in assays, review and KPIs and consider myself as adaptable and dynamic team member. My primary interests lie in what i studied and where i work, which includes genetics, microbiology, molecular phisiology, medicinal biotechnology and plant-pathogen interactions. Besides that, as a ''hungry-of-knowledge'' person I am passionate about nutrition, exercise physiology, immunology and molecular forensics. Outside of science field, I am also pursuing aerobics, yoga, weight lifting, reading, bullet journaling and painting. I am no stranger at hospitality sector, where I briefly worked when I had my career break and I still engage in bartending occasionaly, due to my love of interacting with people and satisfying wishes of customers. I moved abroad to seek better education and establish my carrer but one of catalysts was also my immense longing to connect with people of different cultures and learning new languages and customs, I am extremely communicative and my special ability is ''never being able to be quiet''. I speak fluently Slovenian, Serbian, English, intermediate Dutch and begginer Spanish. Years ago, in my ''polyglot phase of life'' I learned some basic German and Russian. I am eager to connect with people either for professional reasons or language learning purpose, feel free to contanct me in private messages.
