About Rebekah Muteti

I am a young lawyer with a passion for law, technology, and human rights. I graduated with an LL.B and I am currently pursuing my postgraduate diploma at the Kenya School of Law under the Advocates Training Program (ATP)—working towards my admission to the bar. My journey so far has been shaped by research, thought leadership, and hands-on legal projects that explore the intersection of law and technology. I’ve worked on digital rights, AI governance, and data protection, always looking for ways to make the legal landscape more inclusive and responsive to emerging tech. My passion for gender equity and disability rights also drives my work—my dissertation focused on their protection in the context of online abuse. I’ve contributed to thought leadership and impactful projects, including: 1) Writing an article analyzing the constitutional and democratic risks of extending office terms in Kenya, advocating for accountability and electoral integrity. 2) Being part of a team developing a GBV reporting app in Nairobi, aimed at improving access to justice and protection for survivors. 3)Researching legal protections for persons with intellectual disabilities against online abuse, highlighting the need for stronger policy frameworks. Beyond the law, I have a creative side. I love graphic design, experimenting with AI tools, and playing the violin—classical music is my way of unwinding. Let’s connect!
