About Reda Rashad

With over 17 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry, I am a seasoned IT professional with a passion for designing, implementing, and managing system and infrastructure solutions. I have a strong background in leadership and management, as well as technical skills in IT and telecommunications. I enjoy working at SinoTharwa, a leading drilling company in Egypt, where I can contribute to its vision of providing safe, efficient, and innovative services to its clients. As the System and Infrastructures Manager, I am responsible for preparing and monitoring the department budget, combining multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions, and establishing and maintaining IT and telecommunications policies and procedures. I also handle the technology purchasing process, document and track licensing information, and assist in writing technical request for proposals and tenders. Some of the tools and systems that I administer and maintain include VERITAS Backup EXEC, Microsoft Exchange 2003,2019, Microsoft WSUS, FortiGate firewall,Fortimail Gateway, iprism webfilter, and Security Cameras. I also manage the company's accounts through Active Directory, administer the mail system secured by Microsoft Antigen, and oversee the helpdesk tracking system through AdventNet Service Desk Plus. Additionally, I check the daily technical status of all rig sites, including satellite internet connection and voice, and log and assign problems if any. I am always eager to learn new technologies and skills, and to share my knowledge and experience with my team and colleagues.
