Background

About Reece M.

My primary interest is developing industrial processes through applied mathematics. Throughout my childhood I was exposed to skilled trades such as carpentry, construction, manufacturing, heavy equipment mechanics, and electric circuits. Throughout high school I pursued offerings in the shop program, ranging from woodworking to CAD, machining, foundry, and welding, where I then began to aide in teaching, and managing projects in the metal shop commissioned for our community. When I went to Oregon State, I explored options in general science, business administration, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, and energy systems before I decided I wanted to obtain a depth of study in applied mathematics and statistics. It was within this study that I found multi-disciplinary applications to my studies, and ultimately, a greater potential within.
